Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Quality and Safety Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services by overseeing all aspects of quality management and safety compliance within our organisation.
The successful candidate should possess a strong drive to accurately evaluate clinical risks and formulate effective mitigation strategies. They must demonstrate proficiency in integrating intensive care policies and procedures into a home care setting. Additionally, they should be self-motivated and disciplined to work remotely, capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, implement, and maintain effective quality management systems and safety protocols in line with industry standards and regulations, integrating intensive care policies and procedures into a home care environment.
• Monitor and evaluate healthcare practices to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance quality and safety outcomes, ensuring alignment with key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to assess compliance with quality and safety standards, policies, and procedures, focusing on delivering on KPIs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and deliver quality improvement initiatives and safety training programs, emphasizing the achievement of KPI targets.
• Investigate incidents, complaints, and adverse events, and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence, while meeting established KPIs.
• Act as a liaison with regulatory bodies, accreditation agencies, and external stakeholders on matters related to quality and safety, ensuring adherence to KPI benchmarks and standards.
• Become an integral part of ICAH’s success by fulfilling clinical shifts as required by the organization, ensuring the safety of our clients at all times while contributing to our leadership team's and organizational KPIs.

Qualifications and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Quality Management, and/or related field.
*minimum five years critical nursing experience, ideally with a postgraduate critical care nursing qualification is desirabl. Current AHPRA registration is required.
• Proven experience in quality management, risk management, or healthcare accreditation, preferably in a hospital or healthcare setting.
• Strong knowledge of healthcare quality standards, regulations, and accreditation requirements (e.g., NSQHS Standards, ISO 9001, NDIS, National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards).
• Engage closely with the leadership team to uphold and achieve the company's mission and vision
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and general PC skills
• Positive and proactive attitude with a "can-do" mindset
