The Opportunity

As our Occupational Therapist, you will enjoy a varied caseload of geriatric consumers with Home Care Packages, Commonwealth Home Support Programs and Private funding. We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist to join our Community Care team on a full-time or part-time basis. This role would suit an Occupational therapist with a passion for working in the aged care sector with a commitment to provide excellent client centered care to champion independence and quality of life of our consumers.

Responsibilities:

• Home environment assessments and falls prevention
• Assistive equipment assessments
• Electric mobility aid assessments
• Home modifications
• Multidisciplinary team meetings and case conferences

About you

Essential:

• Current AHPRA registration (new graduates welcome)
• Well-developed interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent clinical reasoning skills
• Commitment to continuous professional development and evidence-based practice
• Effective time management and case management
• Willingness and ability to travel to clients in the community
• National Criminal Check Clearance & pre-employment assessment to be completed during recruitment

Desirable:

• Experience in geriatric Occupational Therapy
• Geat2Go knowledge and registration
• Experience working with HCP and CHSP funding would be highly regarded
• Experience in home modifications and electric mobility aid assessments would be highly regarded
