Plato's is a unique toy and gift shop in Salamanca Square, Battery Point. We're more than a toy shop - we sell gifts for all ages. We're more than a gift shop - we're here to help kids start a journey of discovery with our large range of STEAM toys. We love dinosaurs, and fart jokes, and fairies, and puzzles. But we're also mature and conscious about the environment, so we stock a range of eco-products and stuffed toys made from recycled plastic bottles. We love to have fun but take our job of providing safe toys very seriously.

Qualifications & experience

2 Years Experience in similar role

Experience with Retail Express and Shopify an advantage

Tasks & responsibilities

Key holding and cash-handling responsibilities: Opening and closing of the shop

Clerical including social media

Managing and mentoring other staff members

Greeting customers, providing information, advice or assistance to customers, processing their purchases

Handling customer queries on email, messenger and online chat

Processing of online customer orders, including picking, packing and preparing for dispatch

Processing of supplier orders, including pricing decisions, processing of stock and pricing of stock

Window dressing and merchandising

Displaying, filling shelves, replenishing stock, cleaning
