A leading provider of advanced integrated security solutions is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Security Field Technician to join their growing team. Specialising in enterprise and commercial security, the company offers cutting-edge IP camera systems, sophisticated access control technologies, and reliable alarm solutions. Backed by a highly rated monitoring facility and a dedicated in-house technical support team, this organisation is experiencing growth and is looking for an experienced technician to contribute to its continued success.

The Position

Reporting to the Operations Manager, your duties will include:

• Lead and mentor a small team of 1-3 technicians, promoting a collaborative, high-performing work environment
• Coordinate and participate in site walk-throughs to assess project requirements, plan workflow, and assign tasks effectively
• Install, commission, and maintain integrated electronic security systems, including access control (Integriti, Inception), CCTV (Dahua), intercoms, and other advanced technologies
• Perform comprehensive quality control checks on-site to ensure installations meet technical standards and project specifications
• Maintain accurate documentation, including commissioning reports, wiring diagrams, and configuration records
• Communicate with monitoring/control room teams to carry out system walk tests and other verification procedures
• Deliver professional client handovers upon project completion, ensuring all systems are operational and clients are fully trained
• Provide expert-level troubleshooting and technical support to resolve issues promptly and minimize downtime.

The Candidate

The successful applicant will have proven experience as a field security technician, and will display the following:

• Extensive experience with Integriti, Inception and Dahua CCTV/Intercom systems
• In-depth knowledge of Multipath communication systems and their integration within security networks
• Proficient in router setup and configuration, including advanced tasks such as port forwarding
• Strong foundation in IT and networking principles, with practical experience supporting integrated security solutions
• Ability to install and commission complex access control, CCTV and alarm systems
• Strong communication with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders
• Flexibility to work overtime when required and travel interstate for project needs
• Openness to ongoing learning, including completing Protege GX training and certification
• Demonstrated ability to work autonomously, manage workloads efficiently, and consistently meet tight project deadlines.

Essential Requirements

• 7-10 years field experience as a Security Technician
• Experience with access control, Inception
• Private Individual Security Registration (Installer & Advisor)
• Open Cable Registration
• Working at Heights/EWP license (Yellow Card)
• Current WHS White Card
