About the Role

The Intake and Business Development Officer supports Vasey RSL Care’s strategic growth by managing client intake and building strong referral networks across Home Care and Veterans Home Care services. This role enhances service efficiency, drives business development, and strengthens community partnerships to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

This is a newly created position.

Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:

Supervise and support intake team operations to achieve onboarding targets, ensure quality service delivery, and provide coaching, feedback, and performance development aligned with organisational standards and goals.

Develop and implement business development strategies, build and maintain strong referral networks, and identify new opportunities to expand services through active industry engagement and stakeholder collaboration.

Contribute to operational planning, support executive reporting, and collaborate with departments such as marketing, IT, and customer service to optimise client intake processes and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Travel across various Melbourne Metropolitan sites will be required.

About You

To be successful in this position, you will be a strong leader and collaborator with a long term and strategic vision for a sustainable future.

You will also have:

Tertiary or post graduate qualification in business or management and leading community engagement projects.

Proven ability to develop and implement successful business strategies, lead community engagement initiatives, and build productive relationships with stakeholders and referral networks.

Proven effective and kind communication, and interpersonal skills with a strong customer service focus.

Computer literacy with emphasis on client management and/or rostering software, and Microsoft Office.

Current driver’s license and ability to drive to each of the Vasey RSL care sites on a regular basis.
