The Company

We are an established but dynamic business that has grown significantly in recent years and are aiming to continue on that trajectory. We manufacture wall frames, roof trusses, doors, windows and kitchens and supply primarily the residential construction industry from Rockhampton to the Gold Coast. We also supply general timber, plasterboard and hardware to the residential and commercial industry across multiple locations. We currently employ over 100+ people with an annual turnover of $40m and growing. We have locations in Rockhampton/Yeppoon, Bundaberg, Maryborough, Hervey Bay and North and South Brisbane. Our head office is based at North Lakes.

The Role

As Senior Bookkeeper you will work closely with the Finance Manager and other team members to drive the finance operations of the business. Focusing on General Accounting, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, BAS Lodgments and HR (Payroll).

Responsibilities:

EOM Balance Sheet Reconciliations including inter-company accounts

Monthly and Quarterly BAS Lodgements

Fortnightly Payroll Processing

EOM General Journal Entries

Daily Cashflow Management

Assist with debtor financing procedures including invoice uploads, drawdowns and monthly reconciliation;

Maintain the Fixed Asset Schedule;

Assist with the Fleet Registry including registrations, branch locations and servicing;

Assisting with end of month and intercompany processes;

Assist with daily customer and branch enquiries on an ad-hoc basis; and

Assisting with other administration tasks and reconciliations on an ad-hoc basis.

Qualifications & Experience

Must have permanent working rights in Australia

5+ years experience in a similar role

Minimum Certificate III in Accounting (or equivalent) (not essential but preferred)

Intermediate experience with Excel (e.g. Vlookups)
