About the Role
As a Laboratory Technician, you will play an integral role in research programs that support bio security and pest management initiatives across the state. Working within a team of dedicated researchers and scientists, your responsibilities may include:
- Rearing, handling, and analysing live insect specimens
- Conducting laboratory-based experiments and field sample analysis
- Data entry, statistical processing, and interpretation
- Preparation of research reports and technical documents
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Practical laboratory experience, preferably in biological sciences
- A tertiary qualification in Bio science, Microbiology, Entomology, or a related field
- A keen interest in insect biology and agricultural research
- The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in enclosed laboratory settings
- Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and effective communication abilities
