The medical curriculum covers a diversity of content, encompassing biological and social sciences, clinical medicine, law, ethics, research and critical analysis, and personal and professional development. This provides a variety of opportunities for involvement in curriculum delivery for academic staff working alone and in interdisciplinary teams. The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is delivered primarily on campuses located in Wollongong, Shoalhaven and Southern Highlands, as well as in numerous rural sites throughout NSW.

About the role

We are seeking an administrative assistant to provide high quality and efficient administrative support for the learning, teaching and operational activities of the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program in the Shoalhaven and across Rural Clinical School sites. Your responsibilities will include offering support to students, academic and professional staff and community stakeholders within the Graduate School of Medicine in the Shoalhaven.

About you

You will be suitably qualified with relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of experience and/or education and training. You will have well developed organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail in written communication. With previous experience in prioritising and completing demands, you will remain flexible, calm and adaptable in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will have the ability to assist in the planning of events and workshops and be proficient in the MS Office suite. Previous experience working with medical professionals or in a healthcare or tertiary environment is highly regarded, but not essential.

Special requirements:

The position is based in the Shoalhaven region, but you will be required to travel within the region and accompany staff on business, including attendance at the Shoalhaven and UOW Southern Highlands or Wollongong Campuses.
