About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to be part of the Emergency Department Homeless Liaison Initiative Project which aims to address the housing and support needs for clients who are homeless or at risk of homelessness presenting to both the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital (RBWH) Department of Emergency Medicine and the RBWH Psychiatric Emergency Centre (PEC).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Deliver core social work clinical services based on valid and reliable evidence, in accordance with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) Code of Ethics and Professional Practice Standards to promote client focused outcomes.
  • Work cooperatively and effectively with patients, their families/caregivers and external agencies as a member of multidisciplinary and social work teams.
  • Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality improvement activities that promote consumer involvement and enhance the effectiveness, accessibility, safety, efficiency and appropriateness of social work services and patient care.
  • Ability to participate in after-hours emergency response in the event of Disaster Plan Activation.
