Who We Are

Capricorn Coast Occupational Therapy Services (CCOTS) and Capricorn Coast Disability Services (CCDS) are both well-established businesses operating in three locations on the Capricorn Coast, with a Rockhampton clinic coming soon. Based in idyllic Emu Park with Yeppoon and Rockhampton only minutes away and Great Keppel Island just 20 minutes from your doorstep, CCOTS and CCDS make for the perfect sea change.

We are a multidisciplined practice with a team of Occupational Therapists, Councillor, Allied Health Assistants (AHA) and in home/in Community Support Staff, employing approximately 15 staff. We are determined to supply a unique, professional and evidence-based service that incorporates our unique Three-Tiered approach.

Level 1: The Zilzie Clinic is an early intervention paediatric Occupational Therapy and Speach Pathology Clinic located in the Sea Spray Lifestyle Centre. The clinic is equipped with four world class sensory gyms, pools, tennis courts, and parklands all within a short stroll to the beach. The Zilzie Clinic, provides services for children, adolescents and young adults. Therapy interventions include however not limited to 1:1 therapy session, Somatic Therapy, DIR Floor Time, SOS Feeding Therapy, Lego Therapy social skills groups, Loose Parts Play, ADL functional skills, school readiness, nature therapy, Sensory Integration Therapy, movement and exercise therapy, and hydrotherapy.

Level 2: The Cottage is located in central Emu Park. This peaceful, fully renovated and equipped skill building cottage caters to all ages. At The Cottage our therapists, AHAs and support staff run a variety of skill building sessions such as cooking, gardening and social interaction skill building. We also have an in-house councillor that operates between The Zilzie Clinic and The Cottage.

Level 3: The Loft is a social skill building and interactive development venue designed to get the mind and body moving. The Loft is a completely new 140sqm sprawling space. The Loft is stacked full of resources including games area, client computers (finding and keeping a job) area, TV hangout area, group work area, private staff room and a multitude of board games and craft items on offer. The Loft is fully airconditioned with sea views to Kepple Island, based right in the heart of Emu Park. While this space on occasions is used by the CCOTS clinicians for group work and feeding therapy, The Loft is predominantly for our Support Services team (CCDS).

The Opportunity

Due to our ongoing growth, we currently have new opportunities available for dedicated and passionate Occupational Therapists (OT), Speach Pathologists (SP), Support Coordinator and Support staff to join our team. New graduate OT and SP are encouraged to apply. As a family/client-centred therapist with a holistic therapeutic approach, you will be provided ongoing and secure full-time or permanent part-time employment.

Cap Coast Disability Services is also seeking an experienced Support Coordinator to manage our disability company and support services. This is a full-time position with an excellent remuneration.

Cap Coast Disability Services is also seeking experienced Support Work Staff for casual weekday and weekend work.

Extensive Resources/Assessments/Sensory Gyms - We pride ourselves on our multiple sensory gyms and extensive resource library to ensure therapy is streamlined. We offer the latest versions of all standardised assessments and unlimited access to Q-Global for ease of scoring and reporting.

Excellent remuneration - Based on your experience, you'll receive a competitive salary (e.g., F/T including above award wage, holidays/sick days and super $94,000-$120,000 with up to $10,000 per annum professional development allowance, weekly supervision, uniform, and supplied computer with full professional IT support.

Requirements

Full unrestricted Australian working rights

Accredited degree in OT or Speech Pathology

Current AHPRA registration or SPA

Current working with children checks.

Specific experience/knowledge regarding children ASD

Demonstrated ability to assess and treat all ages

Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to communicate with other therapists, children, parents and caregivers.

Knowledge of standardised assessments

Experience working in a family-centred treatment model.

Desirable:

Experience working and managing a paediatric caseload.

Knowledge of NDIS
