About The Role:

The Automotive Teacher - Electric Vehicles plays a key role in delivering high-quality vocational education, training, and competency-based assessments in electric vehicle technologies. This role involves teaching in a variety of settings, including workshops, classrooms, online platforms, and industry-based environments, ensuring learners are equipped with the skills and knowledge aligned with current and emerging industry standards in automotive electrification.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deliver engaging learning programs and resources for electric vehicle and automotive technology courses
- Create authentic, hands-on learning experiences that reflect current and emerging industry practices in electric vehicle systems
- Utilise training packages and accredited courses to meet the needs of students and industry partners
- Facilitate practical training in workshop environments, ensuring adherence to safety and industry standards
- Identify and support diverse student learning needs, including language, literacy, and numeracy
- Design and implement valid, reliable, and industry-relevant assessment tools
- Assess student competence across a range of automotive contexts, with a focus on electric vehicle systems
- Participate in moderation and validation of assessment tools and student outcomes
- Maintain industry currency through ongoing professional development and engagement with the automotive and EV sector
- Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with automotive industry partners and employers
- Promote BKI's automotive and electric vehicle training programs to prospective students and stakeholders
- Contribute to workforce development strategies aligned with advancements in automotive technology
- Ensure compliance with national VET quality standards and relevant legislative requirements
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, assessments, and administrative documentation
- Engage in continuous quality improvement and support compliance-related activities
