About the Role: Permanent Part Time
Clinical Educators are Registered Nurses, responsible for the planning, implementation and evaluation of educational initiatives. The role is responsible for teaching the theory and practice of nursing and midwifery and supporting workforce throughout all career stages. Clinical Educators identify workforce learning needs, craft tailored learning plans and coordinate development opportunities. These may include organising in-service sessions, facilitating study days, conducting thorough needs analyses, identifying avenues for professional growth and development opportunities and providing Learning and Development representation during times of service development. Collaborating closely with the Learning and Development Team, Clinical Educators play a key role in nurturing a highly skilled and sustainable local workforce, ensuring the ongoing success of BCH. Clinical Nurse Educators are required to collaborate with managers, team leaders and other key stakeholders to increase participation in education and foster a culture of lifelong learning and enquiry
Mandatory:
Registered Nurse holding current registration with NMBA
Demonstrated experience in specialty area of nursing
Evidence of recent clinical experience.
Previous experience in support and development of staff
Evidence of active participation in continuing education and self-development activities
Entitlement to work within Australia
A Police Check that is current and within 12 months of the issue date
Provision of valid Working with Children Check
Provision of an NDIS Worker Screening Check
Seasonal influenza vaccination of healthcare workers in accordance with Secretary, Department of Health Directions
