A day in the life
You will play a key role in our purchasing team, ensuring the smooth operations of the supply of goods so they are received and distributed accordingly.
You will be required to:
- Liaise closely with staff for purchasing requirements and process purchase requisitions when required
- Receive, carefully check and store goods in line with procedures and regulations
- Communicate any discrepancies to those concerned in a timely manner
- Maintain effective & productive relationships with suppliers
- Maintain an awareness of stock levels and accurately process issue requests in a timely manner
- Keep a clean, safe and organized work environment and comply with workplace health and safety standards
- Prepare for and assist in the monthly stocktake by ensuring all outstanding invoices and credits have been received and accurate counts are performed
- Heavy manual lifting will be required
- Working space based within the loading dock
