Due to growing demand in Canberra, we are seeking passionate Allied Health Assistants (AHAs) to support both Occupational Therapy (OT) and Speech Pathology (SP) services for children under the age of 12.
This is a flexible contractor role, ideal for students studying OT, Speech Pathology, or a related allied health degree — or anyone looking to gain valuable hands-on experience working directly with children.

As an Allied Health Assistant, you’ll have the flexibility to shape your work around your life, while gaining hands-on experience and learning directly from experienced Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists. You’ll be supported every step of the way — all while contributing to a mission that’s having real impact across Australia.
About the Role
Working under the supervision of highly experienced Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists, you will support children in their home, school, or community environments across Canberra.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver therapy activities designed by supervising OT or Speech Pathologist
Support children to achieve their goals through engaging, play-based activities
Document session notes and report on progress
Communicate with families and therapy teams
Attend supervision, coaching, and training sessions
About You
We are looking for people who love working with children, are reliable, and are eager to learn.
You will have:
A passion for working with kids and helping them reach their goals
Great communication and relationship-building skills
The ability to follow clinical guidance and work independently
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Currently studying (or completed) OT, Speech Pathology, or a related field (preferred but not essential)
Requirements
Successful candidates will require (or be willing to obtain):
ABN
NDIS Worker Screening Check
Completion of NDIS Worker Orientation Module
Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) Card
Reliable transport
