Based out of our office in beautiful Castlemaine, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships within our community. Your mission will be to help Council connect with residents, listen to their needs, and work collaboratively to achieve great outcomes for all.
The role
Key responsibilities undertaken by the Senior Community Engagement Officer include:
Provide advice and support across the organisation to ensure best-practice community engagement, continuous improvement and connection to our local community
Lead the implementation, review, improvement of and advocacy for the use of Council’s Community Engagement Framework
Oversight of Council’s online community engagement platform
Maintain and improve monitoring and evaluation processes to ensure organisational capability continuously improves
Our ideal candidate
To be successful in this role you will have:
Relevant experience in community engagement
Highly developed interpersonal skills
Knowledge and demonstrated application of community engagement practices and strategies
The ability to work collaboratively to achieve outcomes
