The Role:
As the on-site Housekeeping Supervisor for IHS, you will play a vital role in maintaining the high standards expected by the hotel and its guests. You will oversee the daily operations of the IHS housekeeping team assigned to the hotel, ensuring all guest rooms, suites, and public areas are presented flawlessly. Your leadership will be crucial in motivating the team, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining meticulous attention to detail according to both IHS and hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise, train, mentor, and support the IHS housekeeping attendants on site.
Conduct daily inspections of guest rooms and public spaces to ensure compliance with 4.5-star standards.
Manage staff rosters, assignments, and breaks effectively for the IHS team.
Oversee inventory management for linen, cleaning supplies, and guest amenities allocated to the team.
Coordinate effectively with the hotel's Maintenance department regarding reported issues.
Liaise professionally with the hotel's Front Office and other departments to ensure seamless guest service.
Handle guest requests and feedback related to housekeeping promptly and professionally, representing both IHS and the hotel positively.
Ensure strict adherence to all workplace health and safety procedures.
Assist the relevant IHS Manager and/or Hotel Housekeeping Manager with administrative tasks and reporting as required.
About You:
Proven experience in a supervisory role within housekeeping, ideally within a 4 or 5-star hotel environment.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, guide, and develop a team.
Exceptional attention to detail and a genuine passion for cleanliness and presentation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with staff, hotel management, and guests.
Strong organisational and time management abilities.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced hotel environment.
Solid understanding of cleaning chemicals, proper cleaning techniques, and WHS standards.
Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays, as required by hotel operations.
