The Opportunity
Our research program "Augmented Human Operations" is offering exciting PhD/Honours scholarship opportunities for AU/NZ talented and motivated individuals to contribute to cutting-edge research in the fusion of virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR) and artificial intelligence (AI). As a PhD/Honour Scholar, you will play a key role in advancing the understanding and applications of these transformative technologies, with the potential to deliver significant impact across various industries.
Projects are located at University of Tasmania, Monash University, University of Queensland and University of South Australia.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct pioneering research at the intersection of VR, AR and AI technologies
Develop innovative solutions and prototypes that push the boundaries of what is possible with these integrated technologies
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers and industry partners to identify and address real-world challenges
Present your research findings at conferences and publish in renowned academic journals
Contribute to the overall research program and participate in activities that foster a vibrant research community
What We're Looking For
Domestic students (Australian Citizen, Australian Permanent Resident) including New Zealand Citizen with a bachelor's degree or a bachelor's degree with honours or a master's degree in a relevant field, such as computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following areas: virtual reality, augmented reality, artificial intelligence or human-computer interaction
Strong programming skills and familiarity with development tools and frameworks for VR, AR and AI
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with a keen interest in innovation and interdisciplinary research
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
