About the roles

The National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) is seeking dynamic leaders for the role of Assistant Director (EL1) within our Service Delivery team. These pivotal positions are crucial in guiding senior frontline staff and team leaders as we strive to create a world-class scheme for people with disabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership & Strategy: Drive team strategies and ensure alignment with the Agency’s strategic directions and performance targets.
  • Service Delivery: Provide expert guidance and lead the implementation of service delivery activities.
  • Performance Management: Oversee team performance and outputs to meet Agency planning and decision targets.
  • Business Improvement: Identify and lead initiatives to enhance quality and performance outcomes.
  • Change Management: Implement effective change management strategies.
  • Project Management: Manage programs or projects to ensure timely delivery of outcomes.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and manage internal quality assurance processes.

These positions are only available in Victoria and Tasmania at the advertised locations.

We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered. A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months.
