Daisy & Hen
Posted 10 days ago
WHO WE ARE:
Daisy & Hen began in 2016, and from humble beginnings we are now one of Australia's most loved baby & children's multi brand retailers. Check us out on Instagram @daisyandhen
Our mission is to create joy! We pride ourselves on our exceptional customer experience and we love to connect with our community. We are passionate about sharing our intentionally curated range of products, each chosen for their function, style and quality. We are a leading stockist for incredible brands like Jellycat, Tiger Tribe, Huxbaby, Connetix, Olli Ella and 60+ others
With a network of 4 beautiful stores here in SA (5 and 6 are coming soon to Westfield Marion and Burnside 👀) and a busy HQ / Warehouse, we are proudly an independent female and SA owned company. It's a collaborative, vibrant and fun environment, and with some big exciting things happening in 2025 and beyond we would love to welcome you to the team.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As our Social Media Manager you will be responsible for content strategy, creation and execution across all social media accounts. Your scope will also include liaising with our paid media agencies, community management, influencer coordination, data analytics and reporting.
This is a senior Management Role within our business, with total operational responsibility for our socials. Reporting to our director, you will be a key part of the broader business leadership team, working together to strategise & innovate, drive growth and achieve goals for Daisy & Hen.
It's a fun, dynamic and fast paced environment - we have a busy marketing calendar, weekly new arrivals and a highly engaged community waiting to see what we are up to next.
We are already well established on Instagram, with our authentic and candid content. Our community is loyal, we have DM convos with some that go back to 2016. But we are ready to elevate *and* it's time for Tik Tok to enter the chat (only a minute late).
Sound like your jam? Amazing, once last box to tick: you must be a hands on content creator, and your content creation style should be aligned with our brand - FUN, authentic, relatable and a bit chaotic (just like the life of D&H Mum's with their little people). Do we want content that is high quality, beautiful and inspiring? Yes please! Do we want content that is high production and aesthetic for aesthetic sake? Not really, iPhone is a-ok! (and no beige Mums here, give us all the colours) We are looking for content that heroes us and our products and converts, through story telling, informing and entertaining.
Our community is the best and they are waiting to meet you.
ABOUT YOU:
You are passionate about social media, with a comprehensive understanding of all platforms and a genuine passion and commitment for staying up to date with industry trends and best practice. You probably had to stop scrolling to read this, right?
You're a creative and passionate content creator. Bursting with fun ideas on how to tell our story and share our products.
You have excellent (I-phone) photography and videography skills. We want candid, high quality, fun, engaging and informative videos and photos - please note high end production is not required.
You have great eye for visual detail and the ability to create and identify high quality content. You love colour and feel a connection and affinity to our brand style.
You understand our range of products, and would be genuinely excited to share them with our community.
You have a positive approach and can effectively manage multiple projects, stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast paced environment, while delivering great work.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Writing copy, talking to the camera and community engagement will be part of the role.
You are self motivated and love to learn. The digital marketing industry moves quickly, so a desire to learn and stay ahead of trends as well as receive feedback and adapt is essential.
You are ambitious! We have big growth plans, and we want someone who wants to be part of that!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE:
Strategise and execute a social media strategy in alignment with our marketing calendar and business objectives.
Create industry leading, on trend social media content for all platforms that tells stories, informs, entertains and converts - this role is all about strategic content creation and execution. High end production skills are not required - we are looking for savvy, high quality iPhone content.
Connect our range of products and our campaigns with our audience in a way that cuts through the noise of busy social media feeds, and connects with our audience where they are at.
Integrate supplier provided content and UGC into your in house content.
Work closely with the broader team to ensure a seamless customer experience and brand cohesion across all platforms and touch points (Socials, EDMs, Stores and Website)
Write captivating short form copy, in our brand voice to compliment your video and static creative.
Strategise and execute giveaways, influencer marketing and UGC.
Work with our Paid Ad agencies to incorporate paid media into our strategy.
Report on and use data and industry trends to make optimisations and recommendations for new social media strategy and campaigns.
Stay ahead of trends, best practice, emerging technologies, design tools, product knowledge and competitor landscape to ensure we are industry leading and constantly evolving to meet the expectations of our community.
REQUIREMENTS TO BE SUCCESSFUL:
Minimum 2 years working in a similar role, creating social media content for a product or e-commerce business
Proven experience and success in creating social media content for engagement, growth and conversion.
Photography and videography skills including editing (Iphone is a-ok, we are not looking for high end production)
A comprehensive knowledge of current best practice for Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, LinkedIn and Pinterest.
Canva and basic graphic design experience
A creative thinker, able to work autonomously and within a team with a can do approach to work.
WHAT'S ON OFFER:
This is an onsite, full time Monday to Friday role (7am - 3pm or 8am - 4pm - your choice) based in Mile End South, with your own onsite carpark. Part Time / Hybrid is negotiable for the right candidate - but a minimum of 30 hours / 4 days per week, onsite will be required.
A salary in the range of $75,000 - $85,000 + super is negotiable in line with your relevant experience and skills and to reflect the importance of this role in our business.
Be a part of a female owned, local and independent business and be integral to our success and growth as we dream huge and make our mark.
Opportunities to attend trade shows, range showings, industry events as well as ongoing learning & development opportunities to ensure success in your role.
Generous employee discount, quarterly team events, a fantastic friendly and supportive work culture.
If you think this is your next role, we'd love to hear from you. We know women are less likely to apply for a job unless they meet 100% of the criteria, while men will confidently apply if they only meet 60% (WHAT?!) If this job ad lights you up, but you aren't sure you're 'qualified' - we want to hear from you!
Please apply with a cover letter & resume telling us why you are perfect for the job and links to your portfolio.
The more creative the better and huge bonus points for a video too.
