About the role
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Associate Director: Clinical Pharmacy and Clinical Governance, Research and Teaching to provide strategic leadership across pharmacy services within the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (CALHN). In this high-impact role, you will collaborate with the Director of Pharmacy Services to drive excellence in clinical pharmacy, aiming to optimise patient health outcomes through the quality use of medicines. You will play a key role in advancing education, research, and service innovation while ensuring alignment with best practice standards and professional guidelines.
As a senior leader, you’ll actively contribute to high-level clinical governance, representing CALHN on both local and state-wide committees. You’ll oversee the design, implementation and coordination of major pharmacy projects, ensuring services are delivered in accordance with hospital, legislative, and accreditation requirements. About You
You are an accomplished pharmacy leader with a strong record in clinical service, research, education, and strategic project delivery. To excel in this role, you will bring:
Tertiary pharmacy qualifications, including a Bachelor or Diploma of Pharmacy and a relevant postgraduate qualification, along with registration (or eligibility) with the Pharmacy Board of Australia
Proven high-level leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate teams, drive innovation, communicate effectively, and lead organisational change
A distinguished career in pharmacy practice, with national recognition in research, teaching, and administration, and demonstrated experience in managing complex, large-scale projects
Strong knowledge of current pharmacy practice issues, legislation, WHS, and equal employment principles, with a commitment to professional development and quality improvement
