I am partnering with a leading manufacturing business that have a National Footprint along with a Local Impact. With decades of industry expertise, a strong pipeline of long-standing customers and partnerships, a reputation for reliability, this business is an employer of choice in the sector.
They’re now looking to bring on an Assistant Accountant in a genuine temp-to-perm opportunity, supporting a collaborative finance team with full-function responsibilities including month-end, reporting, and reconciliation's, AP and AR. Reporting to the Finance Manager, your responsibilities will include (but not limited too):

• Assist with month-end close processes, including journal preparation and posting
• Perform and support a range of reconciliation's, including general ledger, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany balances
• Support the finance team in identifying and resolving reconciliation discrepancies
• Generate and issue customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
• Allocate customer payments and maintain accurate debtor records
• Perform debtor follow-ups and manage overdue accounts
• Liaise with customers to resolve billing queries
• Support credit control processes and reporting
• Process supplier invoices and ensure timely approvals
• Match invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation
• Assist with payment runs and remittance processing

The ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience as support function for month-end processes, including reconcialtions experience e.g., bank, credit card, balance sheet reconcialtions
• Strong transactional accounting experience across accounts receivable and payable
• High level of accuracy, initiative, and accountability in day-to-day tasks
• A proactive, customer-focused mindset, delivering clear and impactful communication with both internal and external stakeholders
