Seeds of Knowledge is seeking a caring, committed and enthusiastic registered or retired teacher or teacher aide to join our team. As a Tutor, you’ll be responsible for providing individualised tutoring and academic support to primary students.
This casual role will be based at our Indooroopilly tutoring center. This position requires you to be available during after school hours (i.e., 3.00pm – 7.00pm) on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Seeds of Knowledge is a family-based business with classrooms located in Fairfield, Carina and Indooroopilly, Brisbane.
About You
· Ability to build rapport with students and parents/guardians.
· A passion for education and a genuine desire to help students succeed.
· Flexibility and adaptability to accommodate the individual needs of students.
· Ability to carry out duties in a respectful and professional manner.
· Exceptional written and oral communication skills.
· Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Key Responsibilities
· Deliver the Seeds of Knowledge curriculum and prepare accompanying resources.
· Individualise student learning to support their potential and understanding of the Seeds of Knowledge curriculum.
· Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary to ensure continued improvement.
· Deliver constructive feedback to students in a way which highlights their successes and provides actionable, and achievable, suggestions for improvement.
· Implement the Seeds of Knowledge C.O.N.F.I.D.E.N.T Framework within tutoring sessions to support student learning and engagement.
· Embed the Seeds of Knowledge ‘SEED’ Behaviour Expectations to foster a positive and respectful classroom environment.
· Follow sessional routines as per Seeds of Knowledge’s operational guidelines.
· Complete administrative tasks related to parent communication and support, including using a variety of engagement tools.
· Maintain student records and samples of work to report on student performance to parents, Seeds of Knowledge and other stakeholders if required.
· Participate in ongoing professional development and training to ensure student success and a shared consistent vision across Seeds of Knowledge.
Key Requirements
· Australian Teaching Qualifications or Certificate in Learning Support (minimum).
· Proven experience working within the Australian education system.
· Valid Australian Tax File Number (TFN).
Current Australian working visa or permanent Australian residency status.
A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or the ability to obtain one before commencing work.
