Our client is a privately owned property development business known for delivering quality residential and commercial projects that combine timeless design with functionality. The director of construction has over 30 years of experience and is focused on growing a team that enjoys what they do, has a work-life balance and delivers to a high level.
With a growing pipeline of high-end apartment and townhouse developments across Melbourne, the business is expanding and seeking a driven and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to join their team.
The Role:
As the Contract Administrator, you will be a key support to the construction delivery team, managing all aspects of contract administration from procurement to project completion.
This is a 5-day work week, with the site office for your initial project based in Preston.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing and administering subcontractor and supplier contracts
- Reviewing scopes of work to ensure alignment with project documentation
- Managing progress claims, variations, and extensions of time
- Assisting with project cost tracking and reporting
- Liaising with consultants, suppliers, and internal teams
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and contract documentation
The Foundation For Success:
- 2–5 years experience in a Contract Administrator role within commercial construction, i.e., tier 2 or 3 builder here in Melbourne.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes
- Jobpac software experience
- Skilled in financial administration, forecasting, and reporting
- Clear communicator with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- High attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Tertiary qualification in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field
