The Data Architect is a permanent position that will join an existing team, based in Surry Hills (hybrid).

This role will focus on driving best in class data architecture , designing conceptual and logical data models and building solution architecture for data platforms that will be crucial for data management.

You will establish data governance for architectural l design and data migration to SAP ERP.

You will establish end to end data solutions , applying data governance and ensuring architectural alignment for the SAP ERP transformation.

It is expected that you will be very familiar with modern data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Google BigQuery and/or AWS Redshift.

A strong understanding of Snowflake is essential, as well as some experience in SAP and Microsoft Fabric.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Architecture Requirements: Broad understanding of various architectural domains including business, data, application, and technology architecture will be required as well as the ability to integrate and align architectural solutions with business strategies and goals.
• Solution Architecture: Design and implement end-to-end solutions that meet business requirements and align with enterprise architecture standards.
• Data Platform Development: Build a world-class data platform designed for scale and growth (Snowflake).
• Data Governance
• Data modelling and data architectures across small and large data platforms
• Ensure architectural practices and solutions align with TOGAF principles and methodologies where applicable.
• Agile delivery
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, internal policies, procedures, guidelines, and legislation associated with data capture, storage, and use.

You will bring to this role:

• At least 10 years or more of work experience in data and analytics architecture roles.
• Extensive work experience across Multi-dimensional and Semantic data model techniques, managing a data platform that services on-shore and off-shore business units (preferred) and working with multi-platform (Snowflake, Azure Fabric, Azure SQL, SAP, JD Edwards, Oracle, APIs) data sources and multi-language data sets.
• Proven experience with data modelling and data architectures across small and large data platforms. Technical excellence with the Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake data stack, and related products. Experience with Power BI, Coalesce/DBT and SAP.
• Strong desire to lead a plan to build a world class data function and maturity
• Ability to display conceptual design and thinking with data related technologies and ability to formulate strategies for managing expansion and scalability of data platforms
• Experience with Power BI and SAP visualisation platforms.
• Strong stakeholder management skills with experience managing relationships with peers in IT and the wider business
