About the Position
The P&C Officer - Learning and Development is responsible for assisting in the delivery of Council's learning and development training programs, system and projects. This position provides scope for partnering with the business to implement and deliver a wide range of innovative and exciting learning activities. Work alongside a motivated and dedicated People & Culture team to drive positive change whilst championing participation and connectiveness through genuine organisational-wide capability development.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain Council's Learning Management System (Pulse).
- Assist with the design and implementation of training programs and provide support in delivery of organisational development projects.
- Coordinate Council's skills audit process under the direction of the Business Partner – Learning & Development.
- Design online training modules.
- Maintain the currency and accuracy of data and information in Councils online Learning Management System.
- Coordinate training requests, both planned and ad-hoc.
- Assist in Managing the delivery of Council's online induction program for all new employees.
- Coordinate Council's Apprenticeship and Traineeship program and work experience placements.
- Engage and liaise with external training providers as required.
- Manage staff training and records for currency and accuracy.
- Contribute to the coordination of employee recognition programs and initiatives.
- Assist with administrating employee surveys and feedback initiatives.
- Collate employee and organisational metrics to inform corporate decision making and workforce planning.
- Contribute to the continual development and implementation of HR operational and administrative systems, processes and procedures, relating to the duties, responsibilities and functions of the work unit to improve service delivery.

Position Details
- Location: Roma, Qld
- Permanent, full-time position - 36.25hours per week
- Maranoa Regional Council Certified Agreement 2023 - Stream A- Level 5
