About the Role
As the Chief Finance Officer, you will embody the spirit of the public sector in your approach to lead and manage the activities of the Financial Services function. You lead adaptively in your provision of high-level strategic direction to the delivery of contemporary financial accounting, budget management, procurement and business services.
You make decisions on complex problems in an uncertain environment, understanding the broader impact of your decisions on the College and community, tailoring your judgement and actions to the operations of a client focused, activity based funded training organisation and a caring culture.
You have a pivotal role in providing leadership and creating a high-performance team, leading collectively and exhibiting a personal commitment to quality customer service, teamwork, equity, integrity and continuous learning.
In making improvements to enhance service delivery and capitalise on these through the development and implementation of effective change you recognise that some actions leverage greater results, and you focus your efforts to where the best returns can be made.
You will understand that in an agile organisation, best practical may be the preferred option, and you will balance speed of results with compliance and fit-for purpose rather than micro-management.
