We’re seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Bookkeeper to take on a diverse and hands-on role within a growing and fast-paced business. This is a senior-level position that plays a critical part in the financial operations and cashflow management across multiple entities.
The role offers significant variety—from overseeing accounts payable and payroll, to leading cashflow forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis. You'll maintain oversight of Xero accounts across a minimum of seven entities, ensuring accurate reconciliations and robust financial controls are in place.
A key focus of this role is on cashflow oversight and strategic financial management, supporting the CEO with insights on spend, cost control, and financial planning as the business scales. You'll also take ownership of month-end and year-end processes, intercompany transactions, and liaising with the external CFO when required.

Detailed Senior Bookkeeper Position:
Duties include but not limited to:
XERO bank reconciliations and accounts management across a minimum of 7 entities
Weekly entry of creditor bills, creditor run and ABA files
Management of email accounts
Management and maintenance of cashflow forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis/ spreadsheets
Balance sheet and cashflow management
Ensuring appropriate controls on cost and spend across the business and providing insight to CEO
Monthly intercompany journals and loans
Leading and concluding month end, year-end
Fortnightly payroll processing
Maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger in accordance with Accounting Standards and company policies
Liaise with CEO on various payment and reporting requirements
Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and processes for efficiency, compliance and best practice
Admin support where required
Skills & Experience
Minimum of 5 years previous experience in a similar role
Extensive experience with XERO
Intermediate level of Microsoft Excel
A proactive approach to problem solving
Good organisational skills with strong attention to detail
A punctual and reliable demeanour with a strong work ethic
An ability to work to tight deadlines and to work autonomously
Efficient time management skills
A mature approach - happy to pitch in with all aspects of operating in a dynamic, growing business
