Expression of Interest - APS Finance / Accounting Roles

We are seeking skilled and motivated finance professionals to join our teams across the Australian Public Service (APS). These roles offer an exciting opportunity to support the delivery of sound financial management and contribute to critical government programs and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Support budget planning, development, and management across business areas

Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and analysis to inform decision-making

Ensure compliance with relevant financial legislation, frameworks, and policies

Monitor and manage financial performance, risks, and controls

Provide strategic and operational financial advice to stakeholders

Support end-of-month and end-of-financial-year processes and reporting

Assist with procurement, contract financials, and project costing as required

Skills and Experience:

Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices

Knowledge of relevant frameworks, including the PGPA Act and Commonwealth policies

Experience in budgeting, reporting, analysis, and/or financial compliance

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Proficiency with financial systems and tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, TechOne, TM1)

A proactive and solutions-focused approach to problem-solving

Eligibility:

Australian Citizen

Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, if required
