Iconic Perth Higher education provider looking for a graduate systems analyst to work in a servers, metadata and operating systems project.

• Daily rate temporary contract appointment $300 to $350 per day inclusive of 12% superannuation. The rate of pay will be defined with the candidate based on skills, experience, or expertise on Server, metadata and systems analysis experiences.
• Must be Perth Western Australia based as work from office will be required.
• All applicable award entitlements including penalty rates, overtime and allowances and superannuation for this role.

Job Summary: The Junior Graduate Systems Analyst will be responsible for supporting and maintaining our client's enterprise systems, ensuring their reliability and efficiency. This role involves working with ETL processes, managing metadata servers, handling cloud load balancers, and performing system cleanups. The ideal candidate will have 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role and a strong foundation in systems analysis and administration.

Key Responsibilities:

1. ETL and Metadata Server Management:

1. Develop, maintain, and optimize ETL processes to ensure data integrity and availability.

1. Manage metadata servers, ensuring accurate and up-to-date metadata for all systems.

1. Monitor and troubleshoot ETL jobs, resolving issues promptly to maintain system performance.

1. Cloud Load Balancer Management:

1. Configure and manage cloud load balancers to ensure optimal distribution of network traffic.

1. Monitor load balancer performance and adjust as necessary to maintain system stability and efficiency.

1. System Cleanup and Maintenance:

1. Perform regular system cleanups to remove unnecessary files and optimize system performance.

1. Conduct daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all server resources, systems, and key processes.

1. Review system and application logs and verify the completion of scheduled jobs and program codes.

1. User Support and Technical Assistance:

1. Provide technical expertise and problem-solving skills to resolve system issues in a timely manner.

1. Assist with the enforcement of change management processes, ensuring standards and best practices are followed.

1. Collaborate with the IT team and third-party vendors to ensure appropriate resolution of technical issues.

1. Documentation and Reporting:

1. Write and maintain technical specifications and documentation for systems and applications.

1. Prepare reports on system performance, issues, and resolutions for management review.
2. dentifying technology limitations and deficiencies in existing system and associated processes, procedures and methods.
3. Test, debug, diagnose and correct errors and faults in written program codes and scripts.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in systems analysis, ETL processes, and server management.
• Strong understanding of cloud load balancers and system cleanup practices.
• Proficiency in relevant programming languages and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
