Role Overview:

We are currently seeking a talented and motivated Desktop Estimator to join our team on a full-time basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity for someone with a trade background or technical knowledge in residential building who is looking to transition off the tools, or for an administrator with extensive construction experience looking to progress their career. Based in Beenleigh, with the option for remote work, this position provides a stimulating and varied workload within a professional and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Utilise desktop estimation software and other relevant tools to assess property damage and determine repair costs for residential building insurance claims.
  • Liaise with insurance companies, clients, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure accurate estimates.
  • Review project specifications, drawings, and photos to evaluate scope of work and identify any potential challenges or discrepancies.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate estimates in a timely manner, adhering to company standards and industry best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth project transitions and efficient communication throughout the estimation process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and industry regulations to ensure accurate assessments and compliance with relevant standards.

Requirements:

  • Experience with Prime Ecosystem is a must.
  • Previous experience in residential building estimation, preferably in the insurance repairs sector, is highly regarded.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building materials, construction methods, and relevant regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to accurately assess property damage and determine repair costs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organisational and time management skills, able to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Trade background or relevant qualifications in building and construction preferred.
