Chas Kelly Transport (CKT) has been at the forefront of providing these transport and logistic services within Tasmania for over 40 + years.

THE WORK

• We are looking for an HC driver who lives in the LAUNCESTON area. You will be operating each day from the Invermay depot to deliver to a variety of locations across the East Coast and Northwest Coast areas, including Hobart, Launceston and Devonport, Smithton runs. Monday to Friday working week, with Saturday overtime as needed or available

• Depending on your skills and experience as a HC driver, you will be operating Volvo prime mover with Hiab crane fitted and trailer to meet the high demands of supply to the customers, unloaded by Hiab or onsite crane or forklift.

• The products vary form corrugated steel roof & fence sheeting, posts, guttering, ridge cap and other smaller products. Your truck will be preloaded the night before ready for you the following morning and a run schedule sent to you every afternoon to plan from.

• You will be delivering products for our client to their customers each day across areas of the state, to building sites, stores, and homeowners. Customer service, delivery schedule and communication is paramount to your duties each day.

WHO WE NEED

• Must have a HC (heavy combination) Licence.
• You should be Physically fit
• Reliable transportation
• Smart phone.
• Prior experience operating a Hiab strongly considered, not essential training can be provided.
• You must be available to work Monday to Friday and occasional Saturday O/T work.
• Flexible to start early for required run destinations as required, communicates very well, highest level customer service approach.
• Must maintain a high standard of vehicle cleanliness.
• Drive professionally, safely and take responsibility behind the wheel.
