Hotel Overview:
ValueSuites Penrith is a modern 3.5-star hotel with 107 rooms, conveniently located in Emu Plains, just minutes from Emu Plains Station. It is one of four properties owned and managed by Ahotels, alongside 57 Hotel, 28 Hotel, and ValueSuites Green Square.
Role and Responsibilities:
As the Duty Manager, your main responsibility will be to oversee and manage hotel operations, ensuring a seamless guest experience while maintaining high operational standards. You will act as the senior decision-maker during your shift, ensuring all hotel functions operate efficiently.
Overseeing hotel operations during assigned shifts, ensuring all departments function smoothly and efficiently.
Managing guest interactions, addressing inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Supervising and coordinating staff activities, monitoring performance, and providing necessary support to maintain service standards.
Conducting financial reconciliations, reviewing daily revenue reports, and ensuring proper documentation of transactions.
Implementing and enforcing policies related to safety, security, and emergency procedures to protect guests, staff, and hotel assets.
Monitoring property cleanliness and maintenance, ensuring all areas meet established hygiene and operational standards.
Coordinating with relevant departments to handle urgent maintenance requests and operational challenges.
Preparing reports and logs related to shift activities, incidents, guest feedback, and operational improvements.
Ensuring compliance with hotel policies, industry regulations, and service quality expectations.
Contributing to the overall operational efficiency and business objectives by optimising guest experiences and resource utilisation
Requirements:
At least 1 year of experience in a similar style hotel as a Front Office Supervisor/Duty Manager/Night Manager.
Proven managerial and leadership skills, with the ability to oversee hotel operations efficiently.
Strong guest service and problem-solving abilities, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Ability to work independently and make critical decisions under pressure.
High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel).
CPR certificate or willingness to obtain.
Proficient in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Flexibility to work a mixture of am and pm shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 per year, based on skills and experience.
