About the role

MSS Security is seeking a Control Room Operator with NV1 clearance to join a prestigious government site located in Docklands. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing daily control room operations, managing incident responses and monitoring security systems.

The position offers a Level 4 pay rate of $28.02 per hour, plus super and shift penalties where applicable

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Monitor CCTV systems and alarms to ensure constant surveillance and early detection of any security risks.
• Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, and emergencies, escalating issues as required.
• Collaborate with emergency services to coordinate responses to incidents.
• Regularly test and maintain security systems to ensure they are fully operational.
• Provide clear and concise communication.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Strong computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven experience working in a security control room.
• Availability to work a rotating 24/7 roster.

Requirements:

• Must be an Australian Citizen.
• Must hold a current NV1 clearance (or willing to obtain) to be considered for this role.
• Valid Victorian Security licence with control room subcategory.
• Certificate II (or higher) in Security Operations.
• Working with children check (or willing to obtain).
• Valid First Aid and CPR (or willing to obtain).
• Valid Victorian Drivers licence.
