About the role

Next Smile Melbourne, a leading dental practice in Hawthorn VIC 3122, is seeking a full-time Dental Receptionist to join our friendly and supportive team. In this pivotal role, you will be the first point of contact for our patients, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth running of our dental practice.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming patients, both in person and on the phone, with a friendly and professional manner
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments, ensuring efficient coordination of the practice's schedule
• Liaising closely with dental laboratories and referring dentists
• Accurately processing patient payments and managing financial transactions
• Maintaining up-to-date patient records and ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive information
• Assisting the dental team with various administrative tasks as required
• Acting as a liaison between patients and clinicians responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns
• Contributing to the overall positive patient experience and promoting the practice's brand and reputation

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar customer service role within the healthcare industry
• Knowledge of implants, surgery, day procedure (GA) and Allon4 highly regarded.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, colleagues, and stakeholders
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with a keen eye for detail
• Proficiency in using dental practice management software and Microsoft Office suite
• A friendly, empathetic, and patient-focused approach to customer service
• A commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to relevant healthcare regulations
