Due to operational requirements, we currently have a vacancy for 2 x Boilermaker positions to join our Maintenance teams on a permanent full-time basis.
About the Roles
The 2 roles have very different roles to play within our organisation:
BHF Maintenance Dayshift Boilermaker - Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor BHF & Rail you will be responsible for the fabrication of new components and repairs to existing port infrastructure whilst Maintaining plant equipment and machinery to a safe condition to give maximum availability for operational purposes.
Maintenance Specialist – Boilermaker - Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor the Maintenance Specialist – Boilermaker will be responsible for the fabrication of new components and repairs to existing port infrastructure whilst also undertaking non-mechanical maintenance activities as required.
About You
Key Qualifications and experience (To be addressed in Covering Letter):
- Certificate III Engineering (Metal Fabrication);
- WorkSafe Licence to perform high risk work, or the ability to obtain:
- (LF) Fork-lift,
- (CN) and/or (C6) Crane,
- (DG) Dogging.
- (MR) Medium Rigid class driver’s licence;
- 5 years’ experience in relevant industry;
- Conversant with a variety of Welding machinery and Techniques;
- Understanding of maintenance programs and schedules;
- The ability to prioritise and manage concurrent tasks;
- Experience working well in a team environment;
- Experience working with Apprentices;
- A working knowledge of Work Health and Safety requirements; and
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and database systems.
