Permanent, commencing in May/June 2025
38 hours per week (1 FTE) - Hay Street Mall Perth CBD.
$90,000 - $97,000 per annum (depending on experience)

ROLE OVERVIEW
The ARTRAGE HR Manager oversees all aspects of human resource functions as a true generalist. This role offers a mix of strategic development and hands on delivery.
The HR Manager, reporting to the CEO will work closely with the ARTRAGE leadership team, providing guidance, resources and coaching, to managers and employees in HR matters. This role current has no direct reports.
ARTRAGE is committed to the team and the organisation culture and as such periodically works with a specialist consultant. Current focus is on communication training, translating our new strategic values into our actions, and uniting the team. This consultant will continue to be available to guide the HR Manager in the first 6 months of the role.
This role requires a strong understanding of all points of the employment lifecycle, change management, employment law, and advocacy of HR best practice.
ARTRAGE recruits a high number of fixed-term employees and volunteers (local and abroad) to support seasonal events. The HR Manager will manage this process through driving Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS) improvements and compliance.
DUTIES
Administer application of the Live Performance Award and Cinema Award and other Awards as applicable.
Establish systems, policies, procedures, audits, training, templates and guidelines informed by HR best practice.
Assess risk and mitigations concerning health, safety and wellbeing.
Collaborate with Finance and other departments to advise on workforce compensation and benefits.
Ensure the organisation is compliant with all applicable and evolving employment legislation.
Oversee the management of employee relations including dispute resolution, investigations, disciplinary actions, and performance management.
Coordinate staff performance appraisals.
Centralise the organisations recruitment processes.
Prepare and process employee contracts and variations when required.
Conduct and analyse employee engagement, exit and other surveys.
Advise on appropriate workforce planning and updating of the organisational chart.
Oversee the professional development program in collaboration with the Executive Team.
Assist in the management and application of leave types, liabilities and entitlements.
Undertake any other duties assigned by the ARTRAGE Executive Team, which might reasonably be deemed to be within the scope of the role and having regard for the skills and qualifications relating to the role.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Degree in Human Resources or a related discipline
At least 5 years of experience in the delivery of HR generalist functions
Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws and regulations
The ability to build strong working relationships at all levels of the organisation
Demonstrated ability to use initiative and autonomy
Ability to work under pressure as well as plan and prioritise workload
DESIRABLE
Experience in the arts and culture or not-for-profit sector
Knowledge of Visa 408 processing
Exposure to payroll systems and practices
Work health and safety, including workers compensation
