About Us

Our client is looking for a skilled Maintenance Fitter & Turner to join their team. This role focuses on both preventative and breakdown maintenance, ensuring maximum equipment uptime across pneumatic and hydraulic systems. You’ll play a key part in maintaining safety standards and delivering high-quality workmanship. Reporting to the Maintenance Coordinator, you will be instrumental in keeping operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on manufacturing equipment

• General machining, fitting, MIG and stick welding

• Troubleshoot mechanical faults and machinery breakdowns

• Interpret and work from technical drawings and specifications

• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant work environment

• Ensure equipment is correctly serviced, calibrated, and operated

• Submit maintenance reports and record keeping accurately

• Collaborate with team members and liaise with external parties when needed

Your Profile

To be considered for this role you will have:

• Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Turning) or equivalent

• Solid experience with pneumatic and hydraulic systems

• Proven ability in welding (MIG and stick) and general fabrication

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

• Strong problem-solving and time management skills

• Ability to work independently or as part of a team

• Strong safety focus and good communication skills

• Commitment to workplace health and safety standards
