Your new role
As an APS5 or APS6 Legal Policy Officer, you will:
- Support policy work related to the administration and implementation of the Identity Verification Services Act 2023.
- Assist teams responsible for the day-to-day operations of identity verification services.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including other departments, OPC and the legal division, to deliver innovative policies and reforms.
- Provide support to initiatives under the National Strategy for Identity Resilience.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will need: - Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience or the ability to learn how to interpret and administer legislation.
- Strategic awareness and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and sustain positive relationships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to undertake analysis and research to provide specialised advice on complex policy issues.
- Hold a current Baseline Clearance.
- A legal qualification is required for the Legal Policy Officer role.
