About the role

ActFas Pty Ltd is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Patient Transport Officer / Ambulance Officer to join our team in Port Pirie, SA on a permanent basis. We are also seeking roles within the Barossa Valley Region. In this role, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation for patients, ensuring their comfort and well-being during the journey. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in a career in the healthcare and medical industry. Their is opportunity for a suitable candidate to complete a traineeship to become a qualified Ambulance Officer.

What you'll be doing

Safely transporting patients to and from medical facilities, such as hospitals, clinics, and nursing homes

Monitoring patient condition and responding promptly to any changes or emergencies

Assisting patients with entering and exiting the vehicle, as well as providing any necessary support during the journey

Maintaining detailed records of patient transport and activities

Ensuring the vehicle and all related equipment are clean, well-maintained, and ready for use

Collaborating with medical staff to provide the best possible care and support for patients

What we're looking for

A passion for providing high-quality patient care and transportation services

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to empathise and connect with patients

A calm and professional demeanour, capable of remaining composed in emergency situations

A valid driver's license and a clean driving record

Willingness to undergo training and obtain the necessary certifications to become an Ambulance Officer
