This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and thriving horticultural environment. As a key member of our nursery team, you will be responsible for overseeing the propagation, growth, and care of plants while ensuring high-quality standards and sustainable practices.

Responsibilities:

 Prepare potting media and containers before planting.

 Select and plant seeds, bulbs, and cuttings in designated areas.

 Conduct budding and grafting of vegetative materials onto root stock.

 Manually water plants and control automatic irrigation systems.

 Apply pesticides and fertilizers to manage plant health, pests, and diseases.

 Maintain accurate records of soil mixtures, plantings, treatments, losses, and yields.

 Select plants for packaging, presentation, and delivery.

 Advise customers on plant care and recommend suitable plants for local conditions.

 Plan and organize nursery sales area layout and visual merchandise presentation as needed.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

 Certificate III in Horticulture or an equivalent or higher qualification.

 Minimum of 1+ years of experience in a nursery or horticultural setting.

 Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

 Knowledge of nursery operations, including plant propagation and pest control.

 Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

 Willingness to work across the week, including weekends, as required.

 Understanding of nursery machinery and equipment.
