Our client, a leading multi-asset fund manager, headquartered in the heart of Sydney's CBD, is seeking to appoint a highly skilled Senior Fund & Financial Accountant.
This role will oversee a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including the intricate requirements of Investment Funds accounting.

As the primary liaison for a variety of internal and external stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and quality of financial information provided by the business. Leveraging a comprehensive set of accounting competencies, you will deliver timely, detailed financial reports, analyze complex data, and offer expert technical accounting guidance to stakeholders across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Full accountability for general ledger maintenance, financial, management, and statutory reporting processes.
• Ensure compliance with corporate tax obligations, including BAS and IAS submissions.
• Engage in fund launches, ensuring regulatory compliance and proper documentation.
• Manage key relationships with external auditors and maintain seamless communication.
• Contribute to the development of new investment products in collaboration with the CFO, investment team, finance, and operations departments.
• Prepare critical analyses, deliver reports, and provide valuable insights for the investment group.
• Oversee monthly reconciliation processes and verify accurate income distribution.
• Serve as the central point of coordination for audit-related activities.

Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have demonstrated expertise in financial reporting, distribution calculations, taxation, unit pricing, and regulatory compliance within an investment or custody-oriented business. Previous experience working with multi-asset funds will be highly advantageous. A relevant degree in Commerce or Accounting is essential, and candidates with CA or CPA qualifications will be given preference.
