As Project Manager, Workforce, you will specifically:

  • Lead the development and delivery of workforce optimisation projects and initiatives, ensuring appropriate governance, documentation, and approvals are established and monitored, and culturally informed.
  • Research and advise on contemporary youth justice workforce matters, and analyse and advise on new workforce initiatives, based on evidence and best practice locally, nationally and internationally.
  • Monitor and assess key issues, data and information relating to sensitive and complex issues to ensure the provision of accurate and timely advice on projects and initiatives.
  • Coordinate and quality assure Ministerial and executive correspondences, briefing materials, and all workforce project and initiative outputs for accuracy, relevance, appropriateness and alignment with the department and government's strategic objectives, policies and frameworks.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and innovation.
  • Provide expert and trusted advice to the Project Director, Workforce and other Executives, Directors and Managers on a range of strategic and operational workforce matters to support decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders and represent the department as needed at forums, including as a facilitator.
  • Demonstrate cultural capability and/or a commitment to developing cultural capability to ensure an inclusive culture that aligns with the Human Rights Act 2019 and supports departmental programs and community partnerships aimed at preserving cultural connections for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
