About the role

As a Signal Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in maintaining and installing critical signalling and communications equipment. Working both independently and within a team, you will perform preventative and reactive maintenance, fault-finding, and ensure compliance with safety and technical standards.

Key accountabilities include:

Conduct maintenance and installation of signalling equipment.

Perform scheduled servicing and fault rectifications.

Investigate and report on signalling system incidents.

Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a safe and efficient railway network.

About you

You’re a qualified Signal Maintenance Technician with a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and teamwork. Skilled in fault-finding, maintenance, and installation, you take pride in delivering high-quality work in a fast-paced environment. Adaptable and proactive, you collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders to keep the rail network running smoothly.

In addition to this, our ideal candidate will possess the following:

Certificate IV in Rail and Tram Signalling Systems.

A valid driver’s licence.

Willing to work in at least one of the above locations

A commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement.

Remuneration for this position will be in line with the V/Line Rail Asset Management Enterprise Agreement 2023 and paid as an IMW (SIG & ELEC) 3.1 $61.8604 per hour plus super.
