Selection Criteria
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of best practices in inclusive education, differentiation, and intervention strategies for students with disabilities.
• Develop and implement individualised learning plans (ILPs) that cater to the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of students.
• Display a deep knowledge of evidence-based teaching strategies and approaches to support students with disabilities, including explicit teaching, multisensory learning, and structured interventions.
• Show the ability to use assessment data to monitor student progress, adjust instruction accordingly, and effectively communicate growth to key stakeholders.
• Exhibit excellent collaboration skills, working closely with Education Assistants, classroom teachers, parents, and external specialists to support student learning and development.
• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills that foster a safe, structured, and engaging learning environment for students with diverse needs.
• Experience in accessing and collaborating with external consultants, therapists, and support agencies to provide holistic care and intervention.
• Commit to professional learning and staying up to date with research in special education and inclusive practices.
• Display a willingness to contribute to the broader school community and support the Catholic ethos of the school.
