About Kulkarriya Community School

We are a culturally grounded, community-led independent school near Noonkanbah in WA’s Kimberley region. Our unique two-way learning model values Aboriginal languages and English equally, with small class sizes and collaborative teaching.

The Role

Join us as a full-time Year 5-6 Teacher in Yungngora, WA. Collaborate closely with Aboriginal Education Workers to:

Deliver engaging, culturally-responsive lessons

Foster strong relationships with students, staff, and community

Manage classroom behaviour respectfully

Participate in extracurricular activities (music, sport, outdoor education)

This position is offered on a rolling 12-month contract.

Who We're Looking For

Bachelor of Education and TRBWA registration

Valid Working With Children Check

Cultural sensitivity and openness to learning from community

Resilience and enthusiasm for remote teaching

ESL/EALD experience and rural teaching experience advantageous (but not required)
