Workers' Compensation Regulatory Services (WCRS) is seeking a dedicated Principal Auditor to join our Insurer Licensing and Performance team. This is a
unique opportunity to contribute to the regulation and oversight of Queensland's workers' compensation insurers, ensuring compliance and enhancing outcomes for workers and employers.
About Us
WCRS operates under the Workers' Compensation and Rehabilitation Act 2003, regulating insurers, resolving disputes, accrediting rehabilitation programs, and promoting education about the workers' compensation scheme. We work closely with insurers, employers, and health professionals to support injured workers in their rehabilitation journey and safe return to meaningful work.
About the Role
As a Principal Auditor, you will conduct regulatory compliance audits, monitoring, and enforcement activities to assess insurers' adherence to legislative and licence obligations. Your work will drive improvements in claims operations and promote better outcomes for all stakeholders in the workers' compensation scheme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct and lead compliance audits and monitoring activities to assess insurer performance.
- Develop and implement improvement initiatives for regulatory compliance and enforcement.
- Research complex issues and apply analytical skills to develop audit strategies.
- Engage with stakeholders and provide expert advice on audit findings and regulatory actions.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of audit tools and processes.
- Ensure consistency, continuous improvement, and innovation in compliance monitoring.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve insurer performance.
- Prepare reports and provide strategic advice to senior management on compliance matters.

- A commitment to quality, integrity, and continuous improvement.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly Desirable: Experience and/or qualifications in auditing, workers' compensation, or project management.
