About the role

The National Ability Service is seeking a qualified and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in a casual role at our Brisbane location. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care to our participants, ensuring their safety, comfort, and overall wellbeing. This is a flexible casual role, offering you the opportunity to work on an as-needed basis to suit your schedule.

What you'll be doing

Assessing, and implementing nursing care for patients with a variety of medical conditions

Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians when needed

Monitoring patients overall health status, and reporting any changes

Collaborating with the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure coordinated and effective patient care

Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation

Adhering to all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations to maintain a safe and compliant healthcare environment

What we're looking for

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a general medical or surgical nursing role

Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based nursing practices

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Demonstrated commitment to patient-centered care and a compassionate approach to nursing

Flexibility and the ability to adapt to the changing needs of the healthcare environment
