About the role

As an Automation Test Analyst at Optain, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications through the design, development, and execution of automated testing processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers, to create robust test frameworks and contribute to the continuous improvement of our testing strategies. Your role will directly impact the stability and performance of our cutting-edge technologies, helping us deliver seamless user experiences.

What you'll be doing

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to ensure the quality and reliability of software applications

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define appropriate testing strategies

Perform end-to-end testing, including functional, regression, and performance testing

Analyse test results, identify defects and work with development teams to resolve issues

Continuously improve testing processes and recommend optimizations to enhance efficiency

Document testing activities, create detailed test reports, and provide status updates to stakeholders

Required skills & experience

Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an Automation Test Analyst or similar role

Proficiency in designing and developing automated test scripts using tools like Cypress

Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, principles, and best practices

Familiarity with agile software development processes and experience working in an Agile environment

Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and creatively

Effective communication and collaboration skills to work seamlessly with cross-functional teams

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or JavaScript

Bonus points:

Experience testing Software as a Medical Device (SaMD)

Familiarity with regulated environments
