About the role

Join the team at Malone's Earthmoving Repairs as a full-time Diesel Fitter. Based in Emerald, Queensland, this hands-on role involves repairing and maintaining heavy machinery and vehicles for our earthmoving clients.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose, repair and service a variety of diesel-powered equipment including excavators, dozers, graders and trucks

Conduct scheduled maintenance and inspections on machinery and components

Use a range of tools and equipment to complete repairs efficiently and to a high standard

Maintain detailed records of work carried out and parts used

Provide technical advice and guidance to the wider team

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications as a Diesel Fitter or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic

Experienced Diesel Fitter, preferably in the earthmoving or mining industry

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues with complex machinery

Good understanding of diesel engine systems, hydraulics, transmissions and electrical components

Ability to work safely and efficiently, with attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality work

Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and clients
