Site Reliability Engineer

• Initial 12- months contract based in Perth
• Experienced in automation, scripting, and supporting cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Work with government client

The role:
We’re looking for a skilled Site Reliability Engineer with strong problem-solving skills and a strategic mindset to support the reliability and scalability of critical platforms, focusing on automation, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop automation scripts to support cloud services and system admin tasks.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues to improve reliability and performance.
• Implement and maintain monitoring and alerting systems.
• Drive automation to streamline operations and boost system efficiency.
• Support and maintain the reliability and scalability of AWS-hosted services.
• Collaborate with teams and share knowledge effectively.
• Stay updated with industry trends through continuous learning.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• Proven experience in automation, scripting, and supporting cloud platforms (preferably AWS).
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, alerting systems, and operational documentation.
• Background in system administration and networking.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities with strategic thinking.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable:
Experience supporting high-availability, critical systems.
Familiarity with identity services, backend APIs, and modern infrastructure best practices
